Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers to understand technical challenges and recommend tailored lighting solutions
• Develop lighting layouts, calculations, and control schematics to meet specific application needs
• Prepare detailed proposals, technical documentation, and system designs
• Act as the primary technical advisor during pre-sales engagements
• Provide guidance on installation methods and product integration with customer systems
• Support the sales team and reps with technical insight, tools, and documentation
• Deliver training on products, technologies, and best practices in system design
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop customer-facing materials
• Assist with post-sale transitions, troubleshooting, and technical support
• Gather customer feedback and field insights to drive continuous improvement
• Identify and suggest product enhancements or new features based on user needs

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, applications engineering, or technical sales support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% across the U.S.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Visual, AGi32, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Experience with CRM systems, quoting tools, and sales support platforms.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with sales, engineering, and operations teams.
