Contract Details:

• Location(s): San Tan Valley, AZ.
• Contract follows the academic district calendar (6-week contract).
• Hours: 33 hours per week.

Salary:

• $990.00 - $1,056.00 per week.

Qualifications:

• Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out the assignment, including experience maintaining accurate records.
• Preferred experience with children and familiarity with procedures such as tracheotomy, diabetic care, gtube feeds, catheterizations.
• Must have active AZ or compact LPN license in good standing.
• Certification: CPR/BLS.
• Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff members as needed.
• Work directly with the family of any students in need of 1:1 nursing care to administer personal medical care, including transportation, and any school medications.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and provide appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic illnesses or special health needs.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
• Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including illness prevention, nutrition, and hygiene.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address health concerns and promote a healthy school environment.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and serve as a resource for school health policies and procedures.
• Stay up to date on current nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines related to school health services.
