Job Description

Our large Pharmaceutical client is seeking a Scientist to join their growing Biologics Discovery & Development Group in Spring House, PA. This individual will be responsible for providing protein biochemistry services to support bioanalytical laboratory and these services include but are not limited to: protein conjugation, purification, and characterization. Other responsibilities include:

  • Hands-on lab research for purification and characterization of antibodies or other proteins expressed from a variety of sources.
  • Preparing and managing the preparation of critical buffer inventory stocks.
  • Design, execute and interpret experiments with manager's approval.
  • Assess biophysical and/or biochemical properties of assay reagents
  • Submit data and outcomes to manager and follow directions on next steps
  • Operate laboratory equipment and instruments in adherence to laboratory SOPs and safety training
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and help with daily protein purification and conjugation work

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry or a related field of study
  • 2-5 years of protein purification and conjugation experience
  • Experience with HPLC or FPLC
  • Experience with immunoassays is preferred

Salary: $70,000-$95,000 (flexible based on experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Hiring Method: Multiyear contract – After 1 year on contract, the individual will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role or have their contract renewed for another year

PTO : 10 PTO days, 6 paid sick days & paid Holidays
