Senior Industrial Designer

4-month contract that will likely extend into next year

Required skills and experience

• 10+ years of professional experience in industrial design roles.
• Exceptional 2D visualization skills, including sketching, storyboarding, and digital rendering.
• Advanced 3D CAD modeling and visualization skills, capable of developing technically viable and compelling design solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal design teams, cross functional product development teams, and suppliers.
• A portfolio demonstrating a user-centric design process, showcasing successful products from concept to production.
• Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate a user-centered design perspective effectively.
• Deep understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and DFM & DFA considerations to ensure efficient and scalable production.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships, effectively communicating design concepts and delivering high-quality designs under tight deadlines.
• Comprehensive prototyping skills, ranging from quick foam models to complex functional learning prototypes.
• Strong track record of collaboration with engineering and product marketing teams, ensuring successful product launches.
• Experience in consumer electronics design and/or camera device design is a plus.

This role is offering $70-73 per hr based on experience. Opportunity to enroll in medical, dental, and vision benefits.
