Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to install tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. The ideal candidate will have experience working with ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and other types of tile in residential and commercial settings. A strong eye for detail, precision, and craftsmanship is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, following blueprints or layout instructions.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives or mortar.
• Cut tiles to fit using hand and power tools.
• Lay tiles in specified patterns, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
• Apply grout between tiles and clean off excess.
• Seal tiled surfaces as needed to protect against moisture and wear.
• Repair or replace damaged tiles and surfaces.
• Ensure work meets local building codes and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.

Requirements:

• Two or more years of proven experience as a Tile Setter or similar role.
• Knowledge of different tile materials and installation techniques.
• Steel-toed boots, a Hard Hat, and a Safety Vest are required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
• Skilled in using tile-cutting tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Vocational training is a plus.

Preferred:

• Certification from a trade school or tile-setting program.
• OSHA safety training certification.
• Experience with waterproofing techniques and materials.
