Job Title: Videographer/Video Producer

Location: San Jose, CA (onsite)

Duration: 6+ months contract (potential extension)

Max Pay: 40/hr on w2

Overview

We are seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented Junior Producer / Videographer to join our content team. This role is crucial in supporting both the Lead Producer and Lead Editor, streamlining the production process from pre-production through post-production. You will help senior team members focus on high-impact creative work while directly contributing to the creation of engaging, high-quality video content.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong eye for visuals, excellent organizational skills, and the technical expertise to efficiently support shoots and editorial workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Editorial Support

  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Producer and Lead Editor to support production logistics and schedules.
  • Assist with pre-production tasks, including: Storyboarding, Script coordination, Gear preparation, Location planning
  • Support post-production by: Organizing footage, Creating rough cuts, Logging media, Preparing files for final editing
  • Ensure smooth project handoffs between production and editorial teams.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Camera Operation

  • Operate camera and on-set equipment during studio and off-site shoots.
  • Handle setup and breakdown of production gear, focusing on speed and efficiency—especially for last-minute or internal projects.
  • Capture high-quality footage with attention to framing, lighting, and audio.
  • Work collaboratively with creative leads to ensure visuals align with the project’s storytelling goals.

Team Enablement & Flexibility

  • Increase the team’s production bandwidth by enabling multiple or simultaneous shoots.
  • Provide additional on-set support, allowing the Lead Producer and Lead Editor to focus on creative direction and editing.
  • Help maintain studio readiness and equipment organization for frequent or fast-turnaround shoots.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in video production, with hands-on shooting and/or producing responsibilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro) and basic editing workflows.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a passion for visual storytelling.
