About Us:

Solid Development Group is a leading commercial construction company specializing in concrete and masonry work. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and on-time delivery, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Concrete Estimator to join our team and help drive the success of upcoming projects.

Position Summary:

The Senior Concrete Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for concrete scopes of work, including foundations, slabs, walls, and site concrete. This role requires deep industry knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and related documents
  • Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis
  • Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes
  • Develop and present detailed proposals and budgets
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure estimates align with actual field practices
  • Track market trends, material pricing, and labor costs
  • Participate in bid reviews and client presentations as needed
  • Maintain organized estimate files and historical data for future reference

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in concrete estimating (commercial or industrial)
  • Strong knowledge of concrete materials, methods, and industry standards
  • Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent math, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (not required)
