Job Description

Gpac is working with an award-winning family-owned growing food manufacturer in north central Massachusetts that is seeking Food Safety and Quality Manager.

This company has been in business for 15 plus years and growing, specializing in made-from-scratch baked goods crafted with high-quality ingredients.

In this role you will be very hands-on while using good manufacturing practices in an environment that is in compliance with health & safety.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, thrive in a small rapidly growing environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Experience working with GFSI auditing - SQF preferred
  • PCQI - FSMA training 
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite
  • 2-5 years’ experience managing a team
  • Familiar with prerequisite programs - allergen, supplier management, sanitation, recall and traceability etc
  • Able to lead and determine root cause analysis in a corrective and preventive action situation
  • Able to review and respond to customer complaints
  • Ability to identify and correct nonconformities in system processes, gmps, and employee practices
  • Confidently communicate resource needs to upper management
  • Implement, monitor and provide training related to food safety plan, gmps and industry best practices
