Job Description

1. Perform rigging, lifting, and securing operations for heavy loads on offshore platforms, rigs, and vessels.
2. Select, inspect, and maintain rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chains, hooks, and winches .
3. Work with crane operators to guide and signal safe load movements.
4. Follow lifting plans, load charts, and risk assessments to ensure safe operations.
5. Conduct pre-use inspections of lifting gear and report defects.
6. Assist with deck operations, cargo handling, and mooring activities .
7. Ensure compliance with maritime safety standards (IMO, SOLAS, ISM Code) and offshore safety protocols.
8. Participate in toolbox talks, safety drills, and emergency preparedness exercises .
9. Work in hazardous offshore conditions, including rough seas, confined spaces, and high elevations.
10. Maintain accurate records of rigging operations, inspections, and maintenance.
