General Description

The Senior R&D Product Development Chemist plays a pivotal role in our innovation pipeline, focusing on formulation development and enhancement of our product portfolio. This position involves analyzing, creating, and refining formulations using both conventional and novel raw materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional creativity and scientific acumen in formulating innovative products within our core categories of juice concentrates and flavors
• Independently lead development projects from concept to commercialization with minimal oversight, addressing both customer-specific requirements and internal initiatives
• Assess project viability through analysis of production capabilities, technological constraints, and available resources
• Develop precise formulations, comprehensive manufacturing protocols, and detailed product specification documentation
• Serve as technical liaison with customers, providing expertise during initial production runs and troubleshooting assistance

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or closely related scientific discipline
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in product development within the food and beverage industry
• Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory techniques, analytical methodologies, and formulation practices
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities coupled with strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences and collaborate across organizational functions
• This position requires the physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and may involve occasional travel for customer site visits.
