Job Description

Job Summary:

As Senior Supply Planner, you will oversee supply planning for North American based manufacturing. You will use inventory measurements and the demand forecast to create a supply plan designed to maximize customer service while minimizing inventory. You will ensure that all materials needed to meet that supply plan are available for production. You will also plan, schedule, release, and track the flow of requirements detailed in the demand plan and fed through production to shipping.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain all finished good and primary component production schedules for a subset of items that will support our production demand requirements
  • Manage inventory to meet all customer and production demands while minimizing excess
  • Develop and maintain capacity planning schedules that account for equipment and workforce constraints while identifying optimization opportunities across key component molding operations.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks, including disruptions, capacity constraints, and raw material shortages.
  • Communicate effectively as a liaison between operations, sales, and sr. management on any production issues that affect schedules
  • Minimize waste and inefficiencies by strategically managing SKU transitions during artwork and formula updates, ensuring timely disposal of obsolete materials
  • Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely launches of new products, adhering to required specifications and distribution plans
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase agility in the end-to-end planning process while eliminating waste
  • Own and maintain item data accuracy including purchase order dates for all managed items

Requirements

  • 3-5 years supply planning or adjacent supply chain experience
  • Planning Principles (MPS, MRP, DRP)
  • End-to-end Supply Chain Functions and Linkage
  • ERP systems (SAP)
  • Extremely Process Oriented
  • Curiosity for systems and processes, and how they can be improved to work more efficiently
  • Lead and Manage by Influencing others
  • Self-starter with initiative, able to adapt to ambiguous or fluid situations
  • High degree of maturity and professionalism
  • Accountability to deliver on required actions
  • Team orientated mindset
  • Has a positive attitude on critical problems and issues that may arise

  • Purchasing, Material Planning, Inventory control and experience with different ERP systems would be an asset
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, provide solutions to issues of moderate complexity with minimal guidance.
  • Microsoft Office product knowledge including advanced knowledge in using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Candidate should exhibit a high level of integrity for business ethics and morals.
